Your Tears of Sorrow are Reaping a Harvest of Joy!

“It was like a dream come true when you freed us from our bondage and brought us back to Zion! We laughed and laughed and overflowed with gladness. We were left shouting for joy and singing your praise. All the nations saw it and joined in, saying, “The Lord has done great miracles for them!” Yes, he did mighty miracles and we are overjoyed! Now, Lord, do it again! Restore us to our former glory! May streams of your refreshing flow over us until our dry hearts are drenched again. Those who sow their tears as seeds will reap a harvest with joyful shouts of glee. They may weep as they go out carrying their seed to sow, but they will return with joyful laughter and shouting with gladness as they bring back armloads of blessing and a harvest overflowing!”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭126:1-6‬ ‭TPT‬‬

Did you know that every time you cried due to suffering you were sowing seeds of tears that would reap you rewards of blessings? I can honestly say that this was new to me when I read it. I never realized that out of all of the things that I had been knowingly sowing into over the years, that my tears were also sowing seeds that would eventually allow me to bring in a harvest of joy and overflowing blessings. Glory to God for his kindness and goodness. Not even our tears go to waste, God uses everything for our good. So let’s chat about Your Tears Are Reaping a Harvest!

“We know that in everything God works for the good of those who love him. These are the people God chose, because that was his plan. Romans‬ ‭8:28‬ ‭ERV‬‬

I don’t know about you but Psalms‬ ‭126:1-6 has truly blessed me. To know that all of the struggles and the pain were not in vain. To know that my father loves me so much that he cares about what makes me cry. That is so endearing to me. It makes sense that God would take our tears into consideration. Anyone who has children knows how painful it is to hear and see your children cry. As parents we tend to try to immediately fix whatever is causing our children distress. It is the same way with God and us. The difference is that we are often going through a process of refinement when we are experiencing suffering, quite often God will not immediately remove what is afflicting us because he has a timing for everything. So what seems to be a season of sowing in tears, ultimately reaps us a harvest of joy in a new season. The word was already written ” those who sow their tears as seeds will reap a harvest with joyful shouts of glee” but we had to go through the process of sowing and reaping to get to the other side of the pain.

So now that we have cried and suffered how do we cross over into the blessings of God? We enter in rejoicing and thanking him for his kindness. We step forward in joyous faith knowing that we have endured and we have overcome! God is a faithful father and is he happy to help us succeed. After you have been down for extended periods of time, it can be difficult to make yourself get up again. To allow yourself to enjoy happiness again can be a challenge. After going through the process of cleansing and the stripping away of the old life, we must take hold of our new life with enthusiastic boldness.

“After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace [who imparts His blessing and favor], who called you to His own eternal glory in Christ, will Himself complete, confirm, strengthen, and establish you [making you what you ought to be]. To Him be dominion (power, authority, sovereignty) forever and ever. Amen.” 1 Peter‬ ‭5:10-11‬ ‭AMP‬‬

The key is to remember who brought you from where you were to where you are going. We are not to forget God once we start receiving his promises and rewards. One season’s obedience will not carry us while we are in the new season. Meaning that we must remain obedient and faithful in each season.

““Therefore, you shall keep all the commandments which I am commanding you today, so that you may be strong and go in and take possession of the land which you are crossing over [the Jordan] to possess; so that you may live long on the land which the LORD swore (solemnly promised) to your fathers to give to them and to their descendants, a land [of great abundance,] flowing with milk and honey. For the land which you are entering to possess is not like the land of Egypt from which you have come, where you sowed your seed and watered it with your foot like a garden of vegetables. But the land into which you are about to cross to possess, a land of hills and valleys, drinks water from the rain of heaven, a land for which the LORD your God cares; the eyes of the LORD your God are always on it, from the beginning of the year to the end of the year. “It shall come about, if you listen obediently and pay attention to My commandments which I command you today—to love the LORD your God and to serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul [your choices, your thoughts, your whole being]— that He will give the rain for your land in its season, the early [fall] rain and the late [spring] rain, so that you may gather in your grain and your new wine and your [olive] oil. And He will give grass in your fields for your cattle, and you will eat and be satisfied. Beware that your hearts are not deceived, and that you do not turn away [from the LORD ] and serve other gods and worship them, or [else] the LORD ’ S anger will be kindled and burn against you, and He will shut up the heavens so that there will be no rain and the land will not yield its fruit; and you will perish quickly from the good land which the LORD is giving you.” Deuteronomy‬ ‭11:8-17‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Let us be excited for what is manifesting in our lives in this new season. We have stepped into a new era full of blessings, rewards and promises. If there is anything that you need to confess and repent for, do it today. A simple prayer can change your whole life. If there is anyone who you need to ask for forgiveness from or need to forgive, do it today because tomorrow is not promised. Enjoy your new life and watch divine fruit take hold in your life.
